Entries for Issue #13 due May 31st!

Another year has gone by and The Hand is going strong! Help us celebrate our 3rd birthday and SUBMIT your images for consideration for the July issue, lucky #13!

As always, we have some great features lined up and we’re looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to. Whether you’re a grad student just finishing up a thesis, a seasoned veteran with some new work you want to show- whoever you are, if you’re making interesting reproduction-based images, we want to see what you’ve been doing!

The Hand is dedicated to providing a forum for a wide variety of print and photo-based work, from traditional printing techniques to performance, installation, experimental film and video, and mixed media. As long as it incorporates photographic or print based-based processes, we will consider it for publication. We look for compelling images and the hand of the artist in every piece, whatever that means to you. We have a wide scope and we love experimental, innovative and just plain weird stuff! Challenge us!

Subscribers submit for no extra charge, and every submission fee includes a copy of the magazine, whether your work is accepted for print or not- shipping included. As an added bonus, all subscribers will receive a small hand made print by us, tipped into their copy of Issue #13. Like a party favor! It’s our little way of celebrating our anniversary by saying thanks to you for your support.

So subscribe and/ or submit soon and help us make our best issue yet!

Let’s join hands!,
Adam Finkelston & James Meara
